OHMA EXHIBITS: a collection of interactive oral history encounters

2022 Bio Ornella Baganizi

Ornella Baganizi is a student at Columbia University’s Oral History Masters program (2021-2022). For her thesis project, she is collecting oral histories from her family members who are originally from Rwanda. Through this she hopes to build a family archive and a better understanding of her Rwandan ancestry. Ornella hopes to utilize her oral history practice to produce knowledge of Africa that is nuanced and inclusive of Africans and personal memory.
