There, she focused on media and society, delving into studies of historical trauma and erasure in relation to forms of traditional storytelling. With a background in children’s publishing and communications, Sydney is also an experienced facilitator with Cornell’s Intergroup Dialogue Project: an academic initiative founded in theory and practice that creates community across difference through critical dialogue. Sydney is excited to bring her background in dialogue to her oral history practice, as she explores the question: what makes the conditions of hearing possible?
