2025 Bio Purva Panday Cullman

Purva Panday Cullman was born in Brooklyn, the first-born daughter of immigrants from India. A mother, activist and oral historian, she has served in various leadership roles at community, national and international social justice organizations and movements working at the intersection of gender, culture and activism. At V-Day, in partnership with grassroots women, Purva has conceived and developed dozens of programs, trainings, convenings, global campaigns, demonstrations, testimonials and cultural events about issues related to violence against women and girls.
