“Umubano mu Bantu: Love among People” is an audio collection of short stories from oral history life interviews I conducted with my parents. From Rwanda to the United States, these are a few stories of the country they love and left, and the people they love and lost.
NOTE: This year's group exhibit opens Friday, April 29th at 5pm Eastern.
The focus of this individual exhibit will be the upcoming LIVE IN-PERSON EVENT with the curator, but you can scroll down to explore some previews available online: a video, an audio piece, and the song that inspired it all.
Sunday, May 8, 2PM
How would you describe the place you were born? What’s the story behind your favorite color? Come find out why my mother loves the color red, and what make Kibuye, a small village in Rwanda, so important to my father. “Umubano mu Bantu: Love among People” is an audio collection of short stories from oral history life interviews I conducted with my parents. From Rwanda to the United States, these are a few stories of the country they love and left, and the people they love and lost. Given the loosening guidelines and protocols around COVID-19, masks will be optional.
