Sitting around a table with others is an experience we can each relate to. As it hosts people of all walks of life, it serves as an equaliser in our exploration of one another. Whether we are playing cards or sharing a meal, the table is privy to our most honest conversations. In public spaces and in the homes of strangers, the “distraction” of having something else to do allows us to be carried by the stream of conversation without much performance. Sobremesas serves as a deeper look into how what we do shapes what we share.
From the sharing of a meal to learning of a craft, and all of the things that fall in between, Sobremesas is dedicated to the art of lingering. As we move through eating, drinking, gaming, and making, we explore how each activity changes the heartbeat of our connection. Whether we are huddled over dominoes or sharing a cup of coffee, we’re exploring how the "doing together” opens up new ways of "being together”.
This is an in-person event taking place at The Clemente from 6-8 PM on April 30th, 2026. RSVP here.
