This exhibition engages with the intricate relationship between memory and annotation, inviting us to reflect on how we mark, interpret, and map the geographies of collective and intimate remembrance. Through participatory engagements, artworks, interactive websites, and curated archives, this collection delves into the construction and transmission of personal and cultural histories. The works propose annotation as an active process for engaging with the past, present, and future. They activate family heirlooms, fleeting processes, rituals, curated audiences, and language as catalysts for connection and dialogue.Witness how these intentional acts of inscription transform the ephemeral material of memory into something tangible, something shared, something profoundly our own.This year our students guide you to:
- Focus on a process-oriented view of a historic Haudenosaunee overdress
- Experience an interactive, sound installation echoing stories of queer Haitian experience~
