Step into the vibrant world of the African diaspora in New York City with an engaging documentary-style series! Join me on a journey of discovery as we delve into the complexities of identity and representation faced by the young African diaspora. In the pilot episode, "Roots of the Diaspora," will take you on a fascinating exploration of the history of the African diaspora, focusing on the diverse communities that have settled in New York City. Through a mix of interviews, historical footage, and visuals of cultural landmarks, the pilot will provide a comprehensive look at the rich tapestry of African diasporic cultures in the city.
