Culture Without Borders Language Collective's First Ever Language Party and Translation Workshop (2023)

By Lindsay Szper

At Culture Without Borders' first ever Language Party and Translation Workshop, members of our community will come together to share skills, learn from each other, and have a good time. During the party we ate, drank, talked, danced and had fun. We' also worked together to produce high-quality English <> Spanish translations of quotes from interviews with members of our community. These quotes and translations will later be used in educational materials distributed by our school.

Culture Without Borders Language Collective is a community school that teaches world languages through friendship. We’ve been operating informally since July of 2021, and we’re currently working to formalize our operations as a socially, culturally, and economically sustainable language teaching venture. We hold a weekly English/Spanish conversation group on Zoom every Wednesday from 8pm-9pm US East Coast time, and we host in-person events in NYC on a roughly monthly basis. We’re working on our website and building out our programming. In the meantime, email at cwblanguagecollective@gmail.com for more information and to join our mailing list!
