OHMA EXHIBITS: a collection of interactive oral history encounters

SHEDDINGSOMETHINGSHEDDING (2021)

by Brandon Perdomo

SHEDDINGSOMETHINGSHEDDING is space where practice meets testimony, as creatives share their stories of becoming in a reimagining of a salon-style gathering in a digital space. In the first of the Drawing Room Sessions, we meet painter Lazarus Nazario, multi-media artist Sara Meghdari, and cross-disciplinary performer Mx. Sugar Mamasota, who each contextualize their work considering our contemporary moment, the manners in which bodies are perceived in the public and private spheres, ancestral reflection, and radical self-ownership.
