Chinatown: The Stories We Cherish (2021)
by Nina Zhou
An oral history project about migration, art, and identities in Chinese Canadian history. Why does it matter? The journey gives me an opportunity to collect stories and memories, from one’s life trajectory to reflect on a greater historical scale. Correspondingly, history is not just about summarizing cold fact, seeing how joy and sorrow, struggle and hope are embedded is also a worthwhile cause. It is multifaceted.
