Understanding people’s personal narrative is imperative in decolonizing trauma work and can make it significantly more accessible to anyone interested. Otherwise, being silenced, ignored, or seen as a number rather than a narrative, is in itself traumatic. In placing these oral histories about unique forms of therapy in a public facing setting, I hope to increase the knowledge surrounding the possibility of healing.
