Sarah Maacha

As part of an (other), a collective exhibition exploring the layered meanings of home, Thyme Capsules reflects on knowledge passed through bodies, recipes, and quiet rituals. 
It asks where oral history lives, beyond the archive:
in thyme. 
in tea, 
in the earth and the body. 
It holds what can’t be packed in my suitcase {the sun, my mother’s hands, my grandmother’s prayers} carried across the many homes I’ve made and remade.

As part of an(other), a collective exhibition exploring the layered meanings of home we carry within us, Will You Remember What I Choose to Forget? is an immersive installation and quiet reckoning with memory, rupture, and the traces of home. Rooted in the experience of growing up within a fractured family, the work explores how silence becomes survival—and how space remembers what we try to forget. It invites a slow encounter with what lingers—through fragments, language and its absence, and the weight of remembering.

Ekta Shaikh

As part of an(other), a collective unveiling the layered intimacies of home, Humsafar explores companionship and class through Farukh's bond with Habul, his friend and domestic help. Their journey crosses Pakistan and Bangladesh, anchored in nourishment and care, capturing a tender masculinity among the men I knew. Mediated by phone technology, the exhibit underscores how shifting times sundered me, a curator/daughter, Farukh/father/friend, and Habul/chacha/amma. Visitors can record messages, forging a resonant tapestry of shared memory.
